Astoria Brooke Extends Winning Streak

Trelawney Stud-bred mare Astoria Brooke continued her impressive rise through the grades with a commanding win in the opening race at Te Rapa on Saturday, bringing up her fourth career victory — and her third win in a row.

Ridden confidently by Craig Grylls, the four-year-old daughter of Astor is now finding her groove. Under the guidance of trainer Cody Cole, she's developed into a strong, professional mare who looks capable of going further.

Trelawney Stud's Cherry Taylor was delighted with the result.

"We are thrilled with her progress. She has now won four races — three in a row. Cody has done a great job with her," said Cherry. "She's taken a while to mature, but now she has, I'm sure she will have a good race in her."

With momentum now well and truly behind her, Astoria Brooke is shaping into a mare to watch over the coming months.
