Cambridge, October 24, 2025 — Trelawney Stud's 2025 Ready to Run Sale draft has impressed during this year's breeze-ups, with every horse showing professionalism, pace, and a great attitude under pressure.
Trainer's Kit Brooks praised the group, describing a consistent and composed set of performances from start to finish.
"They all handled the day really well and did everything asked of them," Brooks said. "It's a balanced, athletic draft with a great attitude across the board."
Lot 398: Joan's a Jett (Per Incanto – Joan's a Jett) led the way, clocking a sharp 10.52 seconds. "A big, strong colt that behaved perfectly on the day and galloped very well — one of the standouts of the sale," Brooks noted.
Lot 433: Lillet (Belardo – Lillet) breezed stylishly in 10.59 seconds, taking the experience in stride. "He did everything expected of him and breezed up perfectly," said Brooks.
Lot 47: Precious Colours (Ocean Park – Precious Colours) showed his professionalism with a 10.88-second breeze. "A straightforward gelding who breezed up nicely — he'll be a lovely horse to train going forward."
Lot 83: Samiam Seussie (Savabeel – Samiam Seussie) followed closely, clocking 10.92 seconds. "He breezed up well, he's a strong neat colt with plenty of character," Brooks said.
Lot 14: Hello Youmzain – Okahu Bay filly also impressed, recording a time of 10.89 seconds. "A big, scopey filly who breezed up very well — she'll develop into a really nice horse for the future."
Trelawney Stud's Brent Taylor said the team was thrilled with how the draft handled the process.
"The breeze-ups are a key milestone in preparing these young horses, and we're delighted with how they've come through," Taylor said. "Kelly Myers and Jasmine Fawcett both gave great feedback on how professional and forward they felt."
All horses have now returned to Trelawney to complete their final preparations ahead of the New Zealand Bloodstock Ready to Run Sale and are available for inspection by appointment.
