A new star may have emerged at Ellerslie last night as Miss Jones, confidently delivered a powerful and polished performance to win in the Barfoot Thompson 1200 impressively on her stable debut.
From the jump, Miss Jones travelled like a filly well beyond her experience. Settling beautifully, she quickened smartly in the home straight, putting the race to bed with authority.
The victory was the product of strong teamwork and meticulous preparation. Well done to Cody Cole and his team for presenting Miss Jones in outstanding order. George Rooke delivered a composed and confident ride, giving the filly every opportunity to show her best.
Adding to the celebrations, Cherry shared her excitement after the race, saying:
“Great win just now for Miss Jones at Ellerslie. Great ride, George. Thanks to all — we are very excited for her future.”
