Punters will have to wait to see one of the most anticipated clashes in racing, with Pride Of Jenni to avoid an Autumn Glow showdown and instead race in Saturday’s Queen Of The Turf Stakes at Royal Randwick.
Owner Tony Ottobre this morning told SEN Track that Pride Of Jenni would accept for the $1 million Group 1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes (1600m) and not the $5 million Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m), a race which she won in emphatic fashion back in 2024.
Chris Waller’s unbeaten mare is an odds-on favourite for the Queen Elizabeth.
