Quality five-year-old mare Concert Hall (Savabeel x Classic Legacy) will have her first start of the season in the Celebrating Melody Belle 1400 at Ellerslie
She had her first hit-out of the season at the Taupo trials on August 21, but her spring assignments are likely to be closer to home.
“She was there (Taupo) for a day out and it really improved her,” co-trainer Robert Wellwood said.
“She is still on the way up and if she comes up in the right fashion she has got a couple of nice races in her this year too.
“There are plenty of options for a filly like her. There are a couple of nice mile races, but we don’t really have any firm plans.”
Concert Hall was born and raised at Trelawney Stud for owner-breeder Joan Egan. – NZ Racing Desk
