Callum Jones has been appointed as the new Stud Manager for Trelawney Stud.

Jones takes on the role after Kevin Walls stepped down after 22 years of service to pursue a new challenge.

Formerly the Head of Operations at Westbury Stud’s Matamata farm, Jones brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role.

After starting out in the thoroughbred industry at Cambridge Stud as a 16-year-old, Jones has developed his career through roles with trainer David Hayes in Australia, Coolmore Stud in Ireland, Windsor Park Stud as stallion manager, and at Westbury Stud for the past seven years.

“We are thrilled to have someone of Callum’s calibre join our team,” Trelawney Stud’s Managing Director Brent Taylor said.

“Callum has vast experience in all aspects of stud operations and we are sure he will be a great asset to our farm.”

Jones is looking forward to taking on his new role and adding his contribution to the renowned Cambridge-based farm.

“After looking from the outside and observing Trelawney’s progress and success over the past 15 years I am really excited to join the team and have the opportunity to work alongside the farm’s high quality bloodstock and people,” Jones said.
