As we build towards the 2025 New Zealand Bloodstock Ready to Run Sale at Karaka this November, we're pleased to share an early update on our team's progress. The young horses have recently stepped up in their work, and following a solid gallop this week, Kit Brooks—who is preparing the draft—has provided his thoughts on how each horse is coming along.
Per Incanto / Joan's a Jett Colt
"A lovely, big, forward-going colt who is working beautifully. He moves fluently and is showing a great deal of natural potential in his early work. There's a lot to like about his physical presence and the way he applies himself."
Belardo / Lillet Colt
"A really nice, straightforward type. He's very correct in his action and does everything that's asked of him with a willing attitude. He's professional in his approach and continues to progress steadily."
Savabeel / Samiam Seussie Gelding
"This gelding is a very easy-going horse who's improving with each step. He's working nicely and building the right foundation as we prepare him for the breeze-ups. He takes everything in stride and is heading the right way."
Ocean Park / Precious Colours Gelding
"Another correct, uncomplicated horse who is showing plenty of ability. He's a genuine type who moves well and continues to impress in his work. A tidy athlete with a great mindset."
Hello Youmzain / Okahu Bay Filly
"A big, strong filly with a huge action. She's still learning the ropes but is developing very nicely. We're really happy with how she's coming along—there's plenty of strength and scope to her, and she's shaping up well."
This team is progressing as expected, and the early signs are promising as they build towards their breeze-ups in the lead-up to the sale. We look forward to sharing further updates as their preparation continues.
